Heavy Duty Roll Form Taps are high-performance industrial-grade thread forming tools specially engineered for heavy-load, high-torque, and long-cycle continuous tapping. Manufactured from premium HSS-E cobalt steel or upgraded HSS-PM powder metallurgy steel, these heavy-duty forming taps adopt an optimized thick core design and reinforced tooth profile, providing far higher rigidity, torsion resistance, and breakage resistance than standard forming taps.
  • Reinforced Heavy-Duty Body Structure Thickened core diameter and optimized tooth flank design greatly improve torsional strength and rigidity. It effectively withstands high torque during hard material tapping, achieving much lower tap breakage rate than standard forming taps.
  • Premium HSS-E / HSS-PM Base Material High red hardness and high-temperature wear resistance. The tool maintains stable hardness and rigidity under continuous high-heat and heavy-load working conditions, suitable for 24-hour unmanned CNC production.
  • Chipless Cold Forming Technology No cutting chips generated during processing. Completely solve blind hole, deep hole, and thick-wall workpiece machining problems such as chip accumulation and thread damage.
  • Higher Thread Strength & Precision Cold extrusion compacts metal grain structure. The formed threads feature higher density, smoother surface, and 30% stronger tensile strength than cutting threads. Standard 6H precision tolerance ensures consistent batch quality.
  • Multi High-Performance Coatings Optional Support TiN, TiCN, AlTiN, and DLC coatings. AlTiN/TiCN is perfect for heavy-duty stainless steel and alloy steel tapping; DLC is ideal for high-speed aluminum mass production.

Heavy-duty roll form taps are designed for difficult-to-machine ductile metals and heavy-load industrial threading:
  • Stainless Steel: 201, 304, 316, 316L, 430, duplex stainless steel (work-hardening stainless steel)
  • Alloy Steel: 40Cr, 42CrMo, SCM435, 34CrNiMo6, tempered alloy steel up to 38HRC
  • Carbon Steel: Medium and high carbon steel, cold-forged steel, annealed structural steel
  • Non-Ferrous Metals: Aluminum alloy, brass, copper, zinc die-cast alloy, magnesium alloy
