M3 and M4 Forming Taps are precision chipless threading tools designed for high-volume, high-precision micro and small thread machining. Unlike traditional cutting taps that remove material to create threads, our M3/M4 forming taps adopt cold metal displacement technology to extrude threads without producing chips.

These small-size forming taps are specially optimized for ductile materials and stainless steel mass production. They effectively solve common problems of small taps such as easy breakage, chip clogging, thread burrs and short service life. Available in HSS-E cobalt steel and high-performance HSS-PM powder metallurgy steel with multiple coating options, they deliver stable precision, stronger thread texture and longer tool life for automated CNC machining.
