 Mold & Die Series Thread Mill is engineered for precision threading in pre-hardened and fully hardened tool steels (P20, H13, S136, SKD11/D2, NAK80, 718H up to HRC 62–65). Built from ultra-fine micro-grain solid carbide with a high-temperature resistant AlTiN / TiSiN / AlCrSiN coating, this tool overcomes the brittleness and rapid wear associated with tapping in hard materials—delivering burr-free, go/no-go compliant threads in expensive mold cavities and die blocks. 

  • ISO 6H / 6G Thread Accuracy​ – Precision ground profile passes plug & ring gauge inspection; surface finish Ra ≤ 0.8 μm.
  • Hardened-Steel Optimized Geometry​ – Reinforced cutting edge & negative rake design resist micro-chipping in materials ≥ HRC 50; ideal for interrupted cuts in mold bases.
  • Internal & External Thread Capable​ – One tool machines RH/LH internal threads and external threads (by program), blind or through holes.
